Eid al Adha, the major Islamic affair is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice and is in memory of the time when, according to beliefs, God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son. Abraham proved that he was prepared to make the sacrifice and was instead allowed to kill a sheep. Tunisia’s Muslim population sacrifices sheep and others animals to mark the festival.
