Female travellers are advised not to head out alone at night or they risk negative attention from local males. On the whole, it’s advisable for women to avoid fraternising in any way with Tunisian males and to opt for a modest style of dress as opposed to anything provocative or revealing. Bikinis and swimwear is fine on the beach but certainly not beyond its confines.
