Despite being a major holiday destination, Sharm El Sheikh is not as well-connected as other popular Egyptian cities such as Cairo, Luxor and Alexandria. Road access is available, allowing visitors to arrive by either bus or private vehicle, while a small airport handles domestic transfer from international flights coming into Cairo as well as a limited number of chartered services.
