The local cuisine, or Aussie bush tucker as it is commonly known, uses a variety of ingredients including indigenous seeds, herbs, plant roots and leaves, flowers and animals including emu and kangaroo. Barramundi and mud-crab are of exceptional quality here too and well worth a try.
